We are looking for an energetic, detail oriented person for a busy ophthalmology practice. Experience is preferred (COA or COT). We are willing to train a motivated person with a B.A. or B.S. degree or someone with qualified work experience (e.g.: Medical Assistant, LNA, LPN, etc.).
The position is 5 days a week: Monday through Friday. We offer a great benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k with company match, life insurance, long-term disability, paid vacation and paid holidays. Please provide a cover letter and resume.
Individuals with relevant work experience are eligible for a higher starting wage; please provide salary requirements.
Job Duties Include:
- Patient history and work-up
- Call triage
- Diagnostic testing and imaging: AutoRefraction, OCT, IOLM, OrbScans, iDesign, Optos, Pachymetry, Tonometry, Visual Fields
- Assisting in office-based procedures: LASIK, PRK, Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking (KXL), Superficial Keratectomy, Cosmetic and Oculofacial Plastic Procedures
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working for a healthcare practice (preferred)
- High level of professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician, Medical Assistant, LNA or LPN (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.50 per hour
