JOB SUMMARY
The Product Lead Engineer: Sensors is responsible for product engineering and product lifecycle management activities at the Danbury site. They will work within a project-oriented, hands-on, team environment, interfacing closely with Danbury Product Management and Production as well as their counterpart of Switzerland Product Lead Engineers.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Product Lead Engineer: Sensors report solid line to the Head of Product Engineering, Americas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in the development and expansion of our sensor competencies in the Americas
Product responsibility (product engineering) for primarily gas detection, monitors and sensor types
Ownership of product-related SAP-PLM data
Support in technical, product-related issues for market organization, customizing and production
Coordination of activities between various global stakeholder such as Belimo colleagues in the US, Canada, Switzerland, product management, purchasing, quality and production
Coordination & lead of product Q-cases
Carrying out feasibility studies
Coordination with suppliers and external partners within the Americas
Possibility to lead and support global projects including project coordination, budget, schedule and risk monitoring
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or Masters degree in an Engineering discipline, e.g. Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or in technical sciences
Good technical knowledge, primarily in electronics, ideally experience in sensor or measurement technology
Independent way of working, high personal responsibility, own initiative and uncomplicated dealings with colleagues, openness to new things
Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple projects
A proactive, reliable, empathic, responsive and solution-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Travel will be required, US and Europe
Pluses
Knowledge of HVAC applications
Knowledge of sensor technologies and applications
Knowledge of field bus communication (e.g. BACnet/Modbus)
Knowledge of SAP and PLM Software
