Responsibility Summary/Job Description

• Responsible for applying business and technical knowledge to ensure availability of our systems, and to provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needs
• Perform lead analyst role to complete high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systems
• Design (including system specifications), develop, test, document, and implement quality application software within targeted due dates
• Provide and validate program / task / system estimates
• Proactively identify implications of a project – articulate urgency, dependencies and tradeoffs over multiple systems
• Provide technical leadership and complete complex system level assignments
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced developers on the business impact of the systems supported and the technical design of systems
• Develop business and technical requirements for enhancements, projects, and new systems
• Lead walkthroughs to assure quality of programs developed by other associates Walkthroughs are done with an overall perspective to ensure quality and follow firm standards
• Develop relationships with stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to modify software to avoid future problems and promote continuous improvement
• Develop and execute complex system test plans to ensure quality
• Create documentation across many systems and functional areas, describes touch points and impacts at a total system level
• May involve periodic review and confirmation of general support documentation

Project Details

As part of the Contact and Relationship management team, we are responsible for delivering/supporting the solutions for over 15k branches across North America to allow our financial advisors the tools to deliver exceptional value to our clients. We are recently undergoing an agile transformation, in which we have built durable product teams to allow our developers an opportunity to work closely with our product team to understand the value our teams deliver for our business. We are also making an investment in improving our tech stack to help our teams improve quality and identify opportunities to improve the timing in which we deliver this value. We have built strong trust across our teams, and work very collaboratively to help our teams continue to grow through this agile journey.

• Team Size – 11 resources
• Includes the following: 6 Developers, 1 QA, 1 BA, 1 Product Owner, 1 Scrum Master

We partner with various other product teams within and outside the Digital Branch Experience department

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

• COBOL, DB2, JCL , CICS, Expeditor, Change management

Preferred Qualifications

• VSAM
• IDMS
• Electric Flow / CloudBees SDP Pipeline Process
• Github workflow process
• Jenkins
• Basic Core Java concepts (preferably hands-on)
• Basic Spring Boot concepts
• MongoDB concepts (preferably hands-on)
• SAFe Agile methodologies
• Kafka concepts

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $34.67 - $74.54 per hour
