Overview

AFRL plans and executes USAF programs in the areas of basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development. Delaware Nation Industries is currently providing organizational support to the AFRL at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes and Docker Subject Matter Expert to join our team supporting the AFRL. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of container orchestration and management, with a focus on Kubernetes and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain production-grade Kubernetes and Docker clusters
• Provide expert-level support for Kubernetes and Docker-related issues
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for container deployment and scaling
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper containerization of applications
• Provide guidance and best practices for container security and performance optimization
• Continuously monitor and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of the container infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Kubernetes and Docker technology, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong understanding of container orchestration, networking, and storage
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline and container registry
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows and experience with command-line interface
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Go
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Active Secret clearance or higher (not required, we will sponsor one for the right individual)
• CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 equivalent (or willingness to obtain)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $195,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
