Sustainability Analyst Job at Healthcare Realty
The Sustainability Analyst will assist with the integration, tracking, and reporting of the Company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and initiatives - engaging internally across departments as well as externally with tenants, utility providers, consultants, vendors, sustainability rating platforms and industry associations. #REITesg #REITjobs
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, preparation and publication of Healthcare Realty’s Corporate Responsibility Report in alignment with various reporting frameworks such as SASB and TCFD
- Aggregate, track and verify property-level building utility data, efficiency projects, audits, certifications and ratings using Engie, EnergyStar Portfolio Manager, Measurabl, Microsoft Excel and other third-party software programs as well as working with property managers, tenants, and third-party vendors
- Analyze large utility variances and gather explanations
- Track progress toward our ESG goals
- Support ESG reporting to various frameworks such as GRESB, ISS, MSIC, and Sustainalytics - assisting with assessment submissions and monitoring scores and data for accuracy
- Assist with researching, obtaining, tracking and reporting building certifications, including LEED®, ENERGY STAR®, IREM Certified Sustainable Property, and other platforms
- Assist with researching, tracking, monitoring, and complying with existing and pending benchmarking and building performance regulations
- Conduct research on best practices and trends in ESG-related fields
Desired skills
- Strong attention to detail, data collection, analysis, research, and communications skills
- Take initiative and ownership of projects, with the ability to stay organized while working across multiple tasks and teams simultaneously
- Broad understanding of ESG, energy, climate, and/or sustainability issues in a corporate setting
- Ability to perform quantitative tasks such as data gathering and analysis, Excel calculations and modeling, development of graphs and visualizations, and data QA/QC.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook); familiarity with Engie, EnergyStar Portfolio Manager and/or Measurabl a plus
Bachelor’s degree required
